Bantham Sailing Club
Bantham Sailing Club was originally founded in 1933 with the aim of encouraging sailing for pleasure on the tidal estuary of the River Avon. We are a family orientated club and organise a programme of sailing and social events that take place over the summer season.
The Bantham Community Sailing Group , aimed primarily at children, begins in May offering free tuition and use of the club’s dozen sailing school dinghies.

During May, June July August and September we run sailing races The Spring series is in May and June, Points series in July and August, and Autumn
series in September. We also run a Spring regatta in May, separate Gala Weekend in July, August Bank Holiday Regatta, and end of season regatta in September.

In addition to our sailing activities we have, over the years, organised a number of successful fundraising events and contributed over £120,000 to various local charitable causes including Hope cove Lifeboat and Coast watch.

Community Sailing Group
Get Involved
Our Community Sailing group was formed to engage with both young and old in the local community. Due to the kind donations from its members BSC has a range of boats for members to use who aren't fortunate to have a boat themselves. Training is also given to those who are new to sailing.
